USA relaxes restrictions for travel to Cuba - August 2009
The U.S. government has relaxed some of the restrictions for travel and for sending money to Cuba. The new Obama government have decided in that Cuban Americans will now find it much easier to travel to Cuba from the United States. The limit of how much money relatives could send to Cuba has also been lifted.
The significance for The United States in the long term is the chance to 
begin to seek trade opportunities as U.S. money flows into Cuba. For Cuba it might signal the beginning of the end of their isolation.
The majority of people in the Unites States cannot though travel between the U.S. and Cuba but with Fidel Castro getting much older and fragile, all eyes are on his son and how things might change in the coming years. An open flow of tourists between Cuba and USA will mean significant investment and infrastructure in Cuba.
Visitors from countries such as the UK can try direct to Cuba and enjoy a holiday in locations including Varadero and Cayo Guillermo.
